Rev. Jack K. Moore, M.Div. to Teach the April 28 Seminar at Ohio Central Bible College

Rev. Jack K. Moore, M.Div. will teach the upcoming Spring Seminar at Ohio Central Bible College. His topic will be “A Literary-Cultural Approach to the Parables of Jesus in Saint Luke.” The event will be held Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Iberia Presbyterian Church, 8607 County Road 30 in Iberia through the courtesy of the congregation.
Rev. Moore is a retired pastor with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, and has served congregations in Texas, New York, New Jersey, West Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio. He has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Ohio Northern University, Ada and a master of divinity degree from Lutheran Theological Seminary, Columbus. Rev. Moore was also a post graduate student at Colgate Rochester Divinity School in Rochester, New York. Rev. Moore teaches both Old Testament and New Testament, as well as Christian Apologetics, at Ohio Central Bible College where he is also the Academic Dean. He and his wife Judy (Maxim) reside in Marion.
Registration for the April 28 seminar will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the church. The cost is $20 per person, with lunch included. A certificate of completion will be available to those that complete the seminar. The general public, area ministers and church workers are most welcome.

Paul Landis to Perform at the May 4 Spring Benefit Concert for Ohio Central Bible College

The public is invited to attend the Spring Benefit Concert for Ohio Central Bible College on Friday evening, May 4 at 7 p.m. The event will be held at the Iberia Presbyterian Church, 8607 County Road 30 in Iberia through the courtesy of the congregation. Featured will be “Spiritual Uplift” with gospel music singer and guitarist Paul Landis of Ashland. One Night In Memphis @ Marion Palace Theatre

Get ready for a night of rockabilly, country, gospel, and pure 1950’s rock and roll with this high energy concert! One Night in Memphis takes you back to December 4, 1956, when four of the biggest names in early rock and roll – Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash – gathered together for an impromptu jam session at the legendary Sun Studios in Memphis.

Audiences will see and hear Carl Perkins performing hits like Honey Don’t, Brown-Eyed Handsome Man, and Blue Suede Shoes. Jerry Lee Lewis’ set includes High School Confidential, Breathless, Whole Lotta Shaking Goin’ On, and Great Balls of Fire. Johnny Cash performs smash hits like Folsom Prison Blues, Ring of Fire, and I Walk the Line. Elvis will close out the night with his electrifying hits like Shake, Rattle & Roll, All Shook Up, Heartbreak Hotel, Don’t be Cruel, and Hound Dog.
